About USWe are a small church with a rich history moving intentionally to a grand future. We are an Evangelical Presbyterian Church. Who we are: A local congregation committed to the truth about Jesus Christ; His message, His ministry, His mission and His church. What that means: In the essentials of Christian biblical faith we seek unity. In the non-essentials we strive for liberty of conscious while in all things we promote charity. Overall, our goal is a robust and healthy pursuit of God's truth in a committed attitude of love that seeks to build healthy families, spiritually and in all other ways. How that works: We are becoming a people of the Book, that is, the Bible. We believe that we ought to preach the Bible, pray the Bible, read the Bible and live the Bible; it is God's letter of love and instruction to his specially chosen people for living life Christianly in a world of brokeness. Come and visit us. See for yourselves how the Lord is working out His plan among us. Who knows, maybe He will inspire you to take a part. What is our VISION?Our vision is to be a church where men & women, boys & girls can experience Jesus Christ in deeply meaningful ways. We are directing our worship experiences so that anyone who comes to First Church might be able to say when they leave that they experienced God emotionally, intellectually & spiritually. What are our VALUES?We are committed to the Bible as God’s good Word to mankind. We are committed to a biblical integrity of our public profession. Our goal is that our talk will match our walk. We are committed to unity believing that we are “to preserve the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.” This means we are to promote our Christian commitments to the Lord & one another. We believe we ought to be a caring, loving community as Jesus Himself exemplified. John 13:34-35 says to “love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.” We are committed to growth believing we are called to faithfulness in the Great Commission (Matt. 28:19-20). |
